How to Preserve Chili Sauce

To make Chili Sauce use:Small basket of ripe tomatoes, peeled
1/3 cup of saltLet stand 1/2 hour, pour off liquid
Add
1 cup of minced onion
1 green pepper
1 cup of celery
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1 1/2 Tbsps of mustard seed
2 1/2 cups of sugar
1 cup of vinegarCook until thick.
Sterilize canning jars, fill and seal.

Put the following ingredients through a grinder.2 qts cut green tomatoes
2 qts cut green peppers
2 qts cut onions
1 pt white vinegar
1/4 cup of salt
3 cups of white sugar
1/2 cup of mix pickling spice (in a bag)Bring to a boil point, cook for 30 minutes. Remove the spice bag and boil.
Sterilize canning jars, fill and seal.

How to Preserve Carrots
Filed under Preserve Your FoodsJan 26Use as many carrots as you want to freeze (just use more pots)
You may whish to peel the skins (optional)
In a large pot boil enough water that will cover the carrots completely
Once the water comes to a boil place carrots into the pot.( do not over load the pot with to many carrots at once)
boil the carrots for 3 minutes
Remove from heat and let cool
then place into freezer bags and freeze them.

How to Preserve Corn on the Cob
Filed under Preserve Your FoodsJan 26Use as many cobs as you want to freeze (just use more pots)
In a large pot boil enough water that will cover the cobs completely
Once the water comes to a boil place cobs into the pot.( do not over load the pot with to many cobs at once)
boil the cobs for 3 minutes
Remove from heat and let cool
then place into freezer bags and freeze them

How to Preserve Strawberry Jam
Filed under Preserve Your FoodsJan 262 quarts of fresh strawberries (Take the greens off and dice them up)
7 cups sugar
1 package pectin or 1 package of gelatinNote: Read the recommended amount of sugar needed on the package as some packages come in packages of 1-1/2 ounces.
Once your strawberries are diced and greens peeled off them, place in a strawberries in a large bowl with about 4 cups of sugar. Add the pectin or gelatin, stir and let sit for about 15 minutes. Then place in a large pot and turn the heat to high. stir until it thickens. Once it comes to a boil, continue to stir as you add the rest of the sugar. Skim the foam off and dispose.

How to Preserve Peaches

It is really easy to preserve peaches. It doesn’t cost anymore than the peaches and your time.To do this you need to peel as much peaches as you are wanting to preserve.
Place them in hot water to help loosen the peel.
Then slice the peaches.
Once done, place the peaches in a pot of water.
Add white sugar to your taste
Heat on simmer. medium heat
Until the peaches are soft.
