As a SAHM of four children ages 16, 9, 4 and 2 months, I’ve managed to do things in cheap and fun way but first let me explain the benefits of your child doing crafts.
When a child does a craft of any kind. The child has to first think about what she/he is trying to accomplish. I believe that a child ‘s imagination starts with crafts. By doing crafts helps their development in hand and eye coordination, concentration, problem solving and boosts their self esteem!
Crafts can be anything from drawing a picture, bead designs, building a fort, to building race tracks in the sand. When some people hear the word “crafts” they think female stuff. Like knitting or just playing in paint. When in fact it’s for male and female, both genders benefit from it.Some famous artists are in fact male. Such as Leonardo da Vinci who painted the last supper.
Crafts are for all ages. Think about it for a minute. Children love it when they accomplish what they set out to do. It starts with what can I make? How will I make it the best? And then once they are done theyfeel proud of themselves. All this helps a child in school as well! Crafts equals all this! So what are you waiting for?
I encourage the male role model in your child’s life to get involved too.
The memories that your child can have with mom/figure and dad/figure getting involved is a tremendous feeling for a child. If they truly enjoy doing crafts, feed their interests, as website designers, clothing designers , professional chefs, artists, etc. Are all people who are creative. So in short I believe that crafts helps build a confident person and that is so important. Here are some crafts ideas that both mom and / dad or male / female figure can enjoy doing with their child.

Also don’t be shy to be seen there either as think about it the rich don’t get rich blowing their hard earned dollar on expensive store. That’s right , you can find them at the dollar /bargain stores too. You can also find lots of supplies to do your child 6 months worth at yard sales. So what are you waiting for?
Your child’s imagination starts as soon as she/he is a few months old. And I recommend Barney, yes that purple dinosaur. To help in learning your youngster to use his/her imagination. Gee I can’t believe that I am suggesting Barney, because with my oldest being 14 (who is a young artist) I’ve watch years of Barney and will be again with my 4 month old soon. And I tell you as much as I’ve had enough of the purple dinosaur, I must say children do take to that show and learn that its okay to have an imagination. Frugal mom- Barney movies are really cheap to buy too! Frugal mom’s I have your back as there are two three things in live that are precious our family, time and money!
